The Craze for Hot Ringtones

What did we ever do without cell phones? Do you remember the days of having to look for a payphone, stop the car, have the 20 cents on hand to make the call. Then getting a busy signal and having to either wait or keep driving and then pull over and do it all again? We did it, over and over again, because we had no other option. These days we have become rather spoiled and can call from anywhere any time with our handy mobile phone. How about the days when a cell phone would just ring? Those days are long gone. These days you can be at the supermarket, the DMV, a restaurant and when you hear a phone ringing it will not be a ring, but a hot music song straight of the charts, a TV show theme, a song from a blockbuster movie or some obnoxious guy screaming "answer your phone." In fact, downloadable ringtones, especially the real music tones have become a phenomenon. Hot Music Ringtones Millions of hot ringtones are downloaded every year and the demand is growing and the market just keeps getting hotter. No longer are people satisfied with just having the luxury and convenience of not having to stop at a payphone, nor are most of us happy with just having a cell phone that rings. People are enthralled with tweaking and personalizing their cell phones. Since technology always keeps up and sometimes surpasses demand, it is no surprise that ringtones have evolved from the original monophonics that were just a simple one note tone to polyphonics that played actual music notes but without lyrics to the real music MP3 ringtones we have today. Pretty much any music track, tv show theme and virtually any song can be downloaded to a cell phone as a ringtone. They are available for all genres of music, rap, hip-hop, pop, rock, jazz, classical, alternative, indie, etc... And, if that is not enough cell phones allow you to set a custom ringtone for every person in your address book. So a different music tone for boyfriend, girlfriend, mom, dad, sister and boss, that allows the convenience of knowing who is calling without ever having to look at the phone! It is safe to say that most popular seem to be the pop, rap and hip-hop song ringtones. This is reflective of the thousands of young people who are obsessed with pimping their cell phones. And reflective of record sales of cell phone bling, wallpaper, custom cases and faceplates. The ringtone phenomenon is here to stay and why not? Ringtones are hot, fun, entertaining and allow you to personalize your cell phones with your favorite music tracks, is there anything better?
