What is the best mobile phone? Well, you can find endless articles, blog posts and authority websites recommending the latest and greatest and creating lists of the best mobile phones. In reality, the best mobile phone is an individual choice. Choosing the right phone for you is what makes it best and several criteria should be taken into consideration. Criteria for Mobile Phone Selection 1. The features you need and the level of sophistication that you can afford. The top smartphones, like Blackberry phones and iPhone are very costly some are hundreds of dollars. In reality, not everyone needs all the mega features of a smartphone, like Internet browsing and email, while it is essential for some, it would be a waste of money for others. Some just need a phone to make a call and can save themselves lots of money and monthly fees by purchasing a simple mobile phone and avoiding all the fees that feature packed phones can incur. 2. Consider the cost of the service provider with a particular phone and if their plans fit your needs and budget. Many cheap cell phones plans offer perks such as free weekends and weekday night minutes. But, Verizon for example, starts their free weeknight minutes at 7 pm versus other mobile providers that start at 9 pm. Also, if you use text messaging a lot then you will need a plan that provides a good monthly package of messages for a set price, again not all providers are equal. 3. Consider if you are a prepaid mobile phone type or if you want a long term contract. The prepaid plans have become so affordable now that many are avoiding contracts and prefer to pay as they go. This is also beneficial because you are not tied down to one service and one mobile phone and you can change as your needs change. Many get hooked on the hype of the latest and the greatest. The iPhone and Blackberry hit the mobile market by storm and the craze is still rampant. These are very functional phones, but again consider your uses and needs and do not just go for the fashionable mobile phone choice. |
