By Jr Lang
The Canadian company, Research in Motion (RIM) is the developer of Blackberry technology. The Blackberry model is actually a cell phone, however it goes way beyond and has many more features than the average cell phone. The Blackberry is really a wireless device which includes email, text messaging, Internet browsing, camera and video capability, faxing and also has a multi touch interface. Many Blackberry models even have GPS, calculator functions, address books and memo pads. The Blackberry is more like a hand-held computer that is also a cell phone. So essentially with the Blackberry you get a computer that is also a cell phone. The Blackberry is also known as a smartphone, which is essentially a cell phone with PC functionality. The Blackberry runs a full operating system with many advanced features and basically provides for complete mobile accessibility and functioning. While other manufacturers have produced smartphones, RIM is considered a leader and their Blackberry phones have hit the market by storm. Blackberry phones support leading email platforms and can be customized to meet the needs of one person or an entire enterprise, to any scale, in any industry. There are several models of Blackberry each differing in price, storage capacity and features, they include, Bold, Storm, Curve and Pearl.
